Site Obstacles & Engineering
A sloped hillside lot with an existing pool — the usable flat space was limited to one terrace.
Key Decisions
We built the deck out as a single level platform that holds the spa, pergola and lounge together, so the whole terrace works as one evening room with a view.
Final Outcome
The completed space includes deck lit from below after dark; spa tucked into the deck with a palm growing through; pergola with shade sail and string lights; valley views from the lounge deck.
