Design Brief
A full backyard rebuild in Silver Lake: pool and spa, a stone cabana with a fireplace, a poolside pergola, a full outdoor kitchen and travertine hardscape throughout — designed to live like a private resort on a compact hillside lot.
Site Obstacles & Engineering
The lot is typical Silver Lake — narrow, sloped and tight on access — so every structure had to be placed without losing usable deck around the pool.
Key Decisions
We anchored the yard with the pool and pushed the cabana, fireplace and kitchen to the perimeter, so circulation stays open and the whole yard reads as one connected room instead of separate zones.
Final Outcome
The completed space includes pool and spa with sun-shelf lounge; outdoor fireplace as the cabana focal point; covered patio with an outdoor television; kitchen and lounge kept on one level with the pool deck.
