The challenge
The yard was a flat, blank rectangle with no vertical interest and heat exposure most of the afternoon.
How we solved it
Strong horizontal lines, a raised spa for elevation change and turf inlays give the yard depth, while the kitchen was positioned to keep cooking out of the main sun path.
