• Compacted aggregate base in lifts, not one dumped layer
• Proper bedding sand depth, screeded, not thrown
• Edge restraint so the field doesn't creep outward
• Polymeric joint sand and a final compaction pass

Drainage separates good from expensive

Every hardscape plan should say explicitly where water goes when it rains hard.

Los Angeles rain arrives in short, heavy bursts. A patio graded toward the house or a yard with no area drains will find the problem for you.

Ask for slope direction, drain locations and the discharge point before work starts.

Materials and sourcing

Named product lines are verifiable; "premium pavers" is not.
